Wiedza zawarta w  tych wykładach jest rezultatem wielu lat badań nad chińskimi tekstami klasycznymi, a  także pracy i  dyskusji z  praktykami medycyny chińskiej. Wgląd, jaki to daje polepsza zastosowanie kliniczne punktów oraz pogłębia zrozumienie ich działania.

Odpowiemy na poniższe pytania:
Skąd wzięły się nazwy punktów?
Czy przedstawiają one systematyczną wizję świata? Ciało jako mikrokosmos.
Czemu dany punkt może mieć kilka nazw?
Czy wszystkie nazwy pochodzą z  tego samego okresu historycznego albo mają wspólne źródło?
Czy punkty są łączone z  danym meridianem (kanałem) od początku, czy nastąpiło to później?

Zobaczymy, jakie są zależności pomiędzy nazwą punktu a  jego położeniem i  zastosowaniem. Dowiemy się, jak odnoszą się one do ciała ludzkiego, kosmosu, architektury miast oraz pałaców, ciał niebieskich, elementów krajobrazu (rzek, gór itd.), natury, folkloru, rytuałów i  wielu innych elementów.

POINTS NAMES a  series of 10 classes (2 hours each)

Classical Acupuncture Point Names : Where do they come from ? What do they tell us on their function and the quality of qi we can work on each ? Which kind of relationship with their location ? Meaning ot series of points linked together.

This series looks at the Chinese names of points, using the Chinese characters to reach a  deeper understanding of the point's function within the energetic framework of the body.
Blending the rich poetic quality of the point names with their practical application, this lecture presents an in-depth study of the points into both the classical and medical Chinese literature.

The quality of this lecture is the result of years of research in the Chinese classics as well as work and discussion with practitioners of Chinese medicine. The insight it provides will improve the clinical use of these points and deepen the understanding of their function.

We will address all kinds of questions as :
From where are coming these names ?
Are they reflecting a  systematic vision of the world ? the body as a  microcosmos.
Why can a  point have several names ?
Are they all from the same period of time or from the same origin ?
Are they linked to a  meridian (channel) from the beginning or only later ?

We will see what kind of relation relation between the point’s name and its location as well as its functions. How they are related to the human body, the cosmos, the architecture of cities and palaces, the heavenly bodies, the earthly features (rivers, mountains, …) , the nature, the folklore, the rituals, and so on. …
1 General introduction. The Chinese characters for « points ». What is a  point ? From where are these names coming ? When and how were they given and by whom ?

2 Some precautions to take when reading a  point’s name.
